Post image in reply. Never appears. Open to edit - it's there. And evidently others can see said image as it gets comments. WTF. Top image is what I see after I post...gone back to look 10 minutes later and nothing appears. Bottom image is what I see if I open the post to edit it. Again, WTF. Oh, and not seeing all replies that others post. Heck, just opened the "Dave Chappelle" post...tiny gif on Oppo; nothing when I open it. WTF.
Chrome Version 35.0.1916.153, OSX 10.7.4. Cache cleared, cookies cleared, browser restarted. Arg.

Are posting via URL or uploading from computer? I have found that for some images, even if the URL looks fine, it doesn't work right. If I download the image and upload from my computer, it works.

Seeing the same here, with a similar setup.
Strangely, I've had better luck posting PNG files than JPGs. Most recently I posted a JPG using a URL, it didn't show up. So I uploaded the JPG from my laptop, that didn't show up. I converted it to a PNG and that showed up fine. Don't know if that's a clue or just random chance.

Hey, we're gonna start looking into this shortly, seeing as it's affecting more people of late.

On the contrary, I have some troubles when uploading from my PC: image is shown in the editor, but after publishing the reply only the grey "ENLARGE" button is visible. Clicking it, just gets me a gray overlay. Then I drag and drop the same image on my imgur, copy the web link, paste it in the reply and voilà, escargot et brassiere! (pardon my enthusiastic French) ...the picture is immediately visible. Kinja doesn't love our pictures... just to think that it resizes the 640 px wide ones to 320 px, but it doesn't resize the 970 px wide and higher. The bigger, the better... and fuck Gaia, the baby seals and the rain forests.
